How to provide read-only access to Marketing Activities?

We would like to configure a role that only provides read-only access to all four areas of Marketo.  But I'm not sure that can be done.  When configuring access, for example, to Marketing Activities, I only see the options below.  Is a read-only role not possible?

Hi Dan,

No I don't think so. You might try leaving the user with a blank Role or a Role without any access. I *think* that might allow read only, but I think it just lets them in and then there's nothing to view or do.

Hey Dan,

In your picture above, try clicking the Access Awards checkbox. This will check that box and the Access Marketing Activities box. Go back and uncheck the Access Awards checkbox. This will leave just the Access Marketing Activities box checked. Do this for all 4 areas. I believe that might work.

Yes, checking the box at the highest level provides read-only access.  This was confirmed in another post as well -  https://community.marketo.com/MarketoDiscussionDetail?id=90650000000Pog9AAC
