How to capture on-site search queries?

We capture user's search queries on our site by utilizing the parameters in the URL after a search is performed. How can we capture the search queries in Marketo? For example, if the URL is www.mysite.com/Search?fulltext=awesome%20product, how can we capture "awesome product"? This will help us provide context when a lead is sent to sales. Thanks for your help.

Like any URL param, this can be captured into a hidden form field. You can then automatically submit the form (the user doesn't need to know this happened!).

you may want to set an improved cookie so this search field is tracked more across pages.
But you could tie your search box to the user's cookie and marketo ID as well when they submit the search form, as Sanford suggests.
