How to build a list of people in Marketo not synced to SFDC

Im trying to get our systems to match and finding a lot of discrepancies. How can I pull a list of everyone in Marketo that is not synced to Salesforce? Is this possible with smart list filters? Ive tried a few and nothing seems to work (spot checks reveal the people being returned on the list are in SFDC).

Thanks in advance for your help!

SFDC Type IS EMPTY.

No leads found with that filter...could there be records in Salesforce NOT

in Marketo? Any ideas for finding out who those are?

Hi Christina,

There are 2 SFDC Types fields. One is form persons/leads, the other is for contacts. Make sure you are using the person/lead one.

Yes, there could be records in SFDC and not in Marketo:

  • If you delete a lead in Marketo and not delete the lead/contact from SFDC, the discrepancy will remain until you update the lead/contact in SFDC (when it will recreate it in SFDC)
  • If you have set up a sync filter (If you are not sure, ask support, there is no possibility to know otherwise)
  • If the Marketo sync user in SFDC does not have access to all leads or contacts records

Look for some leads that are in Marketo and not in SFDC and drill down to the activity log. Search for the last attempt to synchronize with SFDC. It should let you know if some error was reported.
