How to Add Opt In for Email Communications Option

I am trying to add a button or link to an existing email template that would allow customers to opt in to future emails.

Is there a way to create a link or button on a template to allow for this?

Hey Scott,

Two methods come to mind:

1) You can add a hyperlink to your email preference page (if you are utilizing that capability) so they can select which communications they would like to receive
2) You can create a thank you landing page and add the link to your template. You would need to build a campaign to opt them in when the hyperlink is selected, but the landing page they would land on is simply a thank you for opting in.

    You can edit an existing template to do this, but it can be a bit tricky as all existing emails will go into Approved with Draft. They may have recently fixed some of the problems around this though.

    The better way is to clone the template, then add the HTML code required. Be sure to upload the image to Marketo first, then copy the image URL and landing page URL (via Jeff's suggestion) into the right spot on your template.
