How links clicked in forwarded emails assign future activity?

To set the stage, let's say that we send an email to "Jason" with a link in it. Jason forwards that email to "Jim" by using the email systems forwarding feature and not the "forward to a friend" feature in Marketo.

Case 1) [Jim already has a Marketo cookie on his computer] Jim clicks on the link and visits several pages of our website. Will that activity be assigned to Jim or Jason?

Case 2) [Jim does not currently have a Marketo cookie on his computer] Jim clicks on the link and visits several pages of our website. Will that activity be assigned to Jim or Jason?

Once Jim clicked the "Jason" email, he will be cookied as Jason and your analytics will continue tracking activity from both users, unfortunately.

Well, until he is either re-cookied by submitting a form or clicking a link/opening an email assigned to him.
