I am curious how have folks have dealt with bad / invalid data that is already synced with their CRM?

If we know what the correct data is, we update the lead record with that and synch the correct data to the CRM.  If the entire record is bogus (e.g. Mickey Mouse at Disneyland), we change the Lead Status to "Bogus Info".  Potentially you could delete the lead record in Marketo and have it delete the record in SFDC as well.

What do would partly depend on how much bad records you have - if it's just a handful, then you could go through them individually and delete/merge or markas bogus.

If it's thousands, you'll need to think of something more creative, and the answer will highly depend on the state of the data.

Another things you should definitely do is set up processes to make sure this doesn't happen again.
