How Effective Are Marketo Forms on Non-Marketo Pages

We currently use marketo forms on non-marketo pages just for better design purposes, but have found that it hurts our tracking and ability to properly see visits/conversions.

We've tried using the web page filter in Marketo, but it doesn't seem to pick up our web pages. We submitted a support ticket, but I'm wondering what others have done to create more designed pages without going this route.

How do you effectively use Marketo forms on non-marketo pages? Do you do tracking per form? per page? Or do you just use Marketo landing pages?

We're trying to adjust our current Marketo processes before the system is too cluttered, and just to make sure we are using it correctly.

Any thoughts are welcome!

Hey Tabitha,

When you are using the filled out form filter and add the web page criteria, do you take out the http:// ?  Marketo doesn't seem to want that prefix. See if that works.

Hey Kim,

Thanks for your response. It was actually because we had the wrong munchkin code, so it wasn't grabbing any of our pages. I guess we need separate munchkin codes for our wordpress-hosted pages v. our standalone pages that we upload via FTP.

If you are using WordPress for your site, there is a WP Form plug-in that integrates with Marketo. I have been using it since the start of the year and it reliably triggers Marketo Smart Campaigns and passes through all fields, hidden fields and munckin info (Inferred Country, etc.):
