Question

How do you use the Opportunity Influence Analyzer?

We've been using Marketo since July, and my team wants to use the Opportunity Influence Analyzer. However, there are certain activities (like Demos, Calls, On-Sites) that are not automatically logged as an Interesting Moment, and therefore don't show up in Marketo but are logged under Activities in SFDC.

I'm looking to hear how everyone uses their instance's OIA, and get some best practices.

Thanks everyone!

Hi Sarah, we use it to highlight times when Marketing has touched a prospect -- not when sales does. For all of these touches, an interesting moment is written.

You need to have IMs enabled and active. I always recommend this even if you aren't using MSI or Opp Analyzer, because one day you will.

To use it, be sure to select contacts with Contact Role and then compare to when you include ALL leads in the Account.

Thanks Josh and Dory.

Josh -- I do have IMs active, however activities like Calls and Demos are not logged as IMs for some reason. Do you know how to fix that?
