How do you rename a read-only SFDC field?

I'd like to change the display name of a read-only SFDC field because it has unnecessary punctuation.

Normally, it would be easy to do, but the read-only part is creating problems. Is there a way to create a different display name? I went to Admin > Field Management and it's not possible. I tried creating a list import alias and this doesn't work.

There may be a couple of solutions.

This looks like a form you are trying to build.

As I mentioned in the other post, go to the Form Editor and click on this field, then edit the Label in the lower right.

Normally the SFDC system label for this field should NOT appear here. So you need to go to your SFDC admin and ask them to fix this on the SFDC side. Marketo probably will pick up the change automatically, but if it doesn't, call support to help.

Josh, I think that changing the label name in SFDC won't change anything in Marketo automatically (see this link: http://community.marketo.com/MarketoArticle?id=kA050000000KzZ0CAK), but maybe support can assist.
