how do i sync lead source in marketo with salesforce?

Hi Isabela,
Lead Source is a manually set field and Marketo will not automatically set it.

"Original Lead Source" is automatically populated by Marketo and you may want to look into that field.

Otherwise, you will need to create Smart Campaigns to set the lead source.

Hi Isabela,
Lead Source should automatically be sync'd with Marketo. The corresponding field in Marketo is also called "Lead Source". If you search in Field Management, it should just be called "Source". Here is a screenshot of this field and the fields its mapped to in SFDC:

When you look at the field "Source" in Field Management in Marketo, is there nothing listed under "CRM Field Map"?

there is:

LeadSource (SFDC Lead)

LeadSource (SFDC Contact)

oh its actually a problem with marketo, not salesforce. It isn't updating lead source to "web". how do i make it automatically do that?
