How do I sync a lead to SFDC and have it be associated to the proper campaign

We are migrating from Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce. We know how to match a lead up with a specific campaign in MS Dynamics, but I'd like to know the proper way to do it with MKTO -- > SFDC.

For example, someone becomes a Marketing Qualified lead from a workshop they attended. When the lead syncs  lead over, what information needs to come with that lead in order for it to be associated to the correct campaign in SFDC?

Is it just the name of the campaign? Is it the campaign ID?

Make sure you test it with a new lead that doesn't have any lead assignment prior to bringing it over to Marketo.  It could be a SFDC thing, in our instance it'll asign out to the Marketo user instead of a rep if I only use the Add to Campaign function.

You can manually sync the Lead to a queue, not to a specific person. To get them in SFDC, you will need them assigned to someone or something (queue). You can reassign after they hit a certain point threshold. Or, you can keep them in Mkto until they hit that threshold then sync over.
