How do I set up GoToWebinar API?

Hi -

I have just set up our Marketo Launchpoint for GoToWebinar and it looks like it is working correctly.

Now I want to use a Marketo form for the registration page but the documents I've seen indicate I need an API to do this. Has anyone does this? Is the API needed separate from the Launchpoint integration? How have others set up their GTW registration?

Hi Jennifer,

You don't need to set up the API, it's included in the Marketo-GTW integration.  You just need to put the  Marketo form on your registration page (either a Marketo or non-Marketo page) and set up a Smart Campaign that triggers off the form and sets the lead's status to Registered in the webinar program.  When the lead is given the status of Registered in the Marketo program, the integration will automatically register the lead with GoToWebinar.

Hi Roxann -

Thank you for letting me know I'm not missing an additional step.

I've done what you described but it does not seem to be working.  I'll keep playing with it.  Do you happen to know how to pull the webinar URL into the confirmation email?  I've inserted this token:  {{member.webinar url}}     but it does not call anything up.

Wait - I got it! 

It was set up right the whole time, I just had to stop using sample emails and activate the campaign to see it sync.  That's what comes of wanting to test too much before launching.
