How do I get a development environment for Marketo?

Hi, we want to use the REST APIs to automatically create leads in Marketo from our own product.  I have found the API documentation I need, but I don't know how to create a test instance of Marketo so that I don't dirty up our production data with my development and testing.  How do I get a test envrironment for development purposes?

If you would like a sandbox, please ask your Account Manager for options. There is an extra cost and it is a separate instance. One cool thing is you can connect the two so you can import programs across instances.

You can only connect a sandbox to an SFDC sandbox.

But if you are careful, you can import data into production and just keep it away from sales and marketing.
