How do I add period costs to PPC campaigns?

We have a few PPC campaigns running and we would like to keep track of the cost for reporting.  Since the cost for PPC is not a set amount, how do I add a period cost to these campaigns?

I always added the period cost at the end of the month as part of my reporting roundup. Grouped by total spend, campaign, etc.
