How can we send to contacts from salesforce without integrating with our marketing database?

We have not integrated salesforce contacts and would always like to keep them separate from our overall marketing efforts, how can a single list be imported and mailed to without being brought in to our overall database?

You can export from Salesforce and import into Marketo. That is not scalable in the long run.

It is also important to mention CSV files close or over 50 MB fail to import due restrictions on file size.

A more practical approach is limiting the permissions the integration user has to the Contacts object or view.

Importing into a static list will not bring  them into our overall database? Need to make sure that these addresses only get the specific promotion the list will be created for, and not any other marketing promotions.
