How can I segment whether or not to track email opens based on country without making two assets?

Hello!

We have been advised that due to updates to tracking laws in two EU countries, we would like to exclude email open tracking for those two particular countries. We have an incredibly high volume of email sends, and would like to find some way to do this without having to create two versions of the same asset.

Basically, there’s a box in the email designer that you can check to disable open tracking, but we just want it to be disabled for France and Italy. We don’t want to have to create specific emails for those two countries if we’re also sending EU or global emails. 

Is there a possible way to do this through tokenizing? How can we tell an email asset to check the box sometimes, but not others?
