How can I apply a calendar file token to an image?

This shouldn't be that difficult, but I'm trying to apply the calendar reminder token (link) to an image - instead of using text.  I place the image on the landing page, click the "apply link" button and add the token name in the link field.  When I test, it takes me to our website's homepage (since it's obviously an invalid URL that's being served).  Has anyone ever done this before?

You have to email yourself the email or landing page, and then hover over the image, then copy that URL.  Go back in and edit the image with the newly copied link.  Just a workaround I have found...

Unfortunately now that the sample emails are showing tracked links (thanks to the May update), this doesn't work without being a tracked link... Our new workaround is to save the calendar event from a sample email, upload this to your design studio, and then link to that.
