How can a lead have a value in the Original Referrer field, but there is no Visit Web Page activity?

Since we installed Marketo a little over 1.5 years ago, there are over 4K leads (most known) that have a value in the Original Referrer field, but there is no Visit Webpage activity in their Activity Log.  How can that be?

That was largely the cause for such a large number.  As promised all webpage visit activites have been deleted prior to Jan 15, 2012.  However, after that date there are about 15 leads that have this condition, so no big alarm, but still curious how this could result.

Hmm. Possibly it came in through a form fillout, while JS was disabled so we didn't get the Visit Web Page event?

Can the Original Referrer field be populated if JS was disabled?

No, I suppose not. There might be some other method here for populating that field, but I'm not really sure what it would be.
