How are you able to send an email to one email address and have the form populate another one based on previous behavior?

I've been getting Marketo emails for webinar invitations and such at one email address. Then when I go to the form, my other email address that I originally put in a form is automatically populated so that I can get my reminders and thank you emails at the second email address. How are you able to do that exactly? Does Marketo have multiple keys on contacts?

There is a cookie for one of the lead records the reason the form is pre-populated.

When Marketo de-duplicates campaign execution it will send emails and execute other actions for the record that has the most recent updates (please compare the Last Updated).
