Help - How to send to marketing suspended people within a particular list?

How do I suppress marketing suspended people that are within a certain group of people? Whenever I use the filter in a smart list marketing 'suspended is true' the list then contains everyone lead that is marketing suspended instead of those within a particular list. I know there is a simple fix but it's escaping me right now.

You Courtney,

You will have to combine the "Marketing suspended" filter with a "member of smart list" and include in the latter a reference to the group of people you want to avoid.
