Google plug-in not loading fields

We are trying to use the Gmail PlugIn for Sales Insight, but it doesn't interpret the fields in our templates. We can load the email template and we can see the curly brackets with the field name/default settings, but it doesn't insert the information.

The same template, when used from within Salesforce and Sales Insight doe insert the field information.

Does anyone know how we can get the Gmail plug in working for this?
