Google Analytics within a Marketo Landing Page

I would like to add GA code to a Marketo landing page. I see a couple options that might be worth trying, but I'm wondering if anyone is already doing this.

My first option involves simply dragging an HTML element to the page and pasting the GA code there. I don't think this will work since the GA should remain within the head tag.

Second option involves adding the GA as custom head HTML to the landing page metadata as described here:

Has anyone tried either of these approaches, or another one?

I would suggest creating a landing page template with your GA code at the bottom of your code. If you clone the blank landing page template provided by Marketo you will see a commented out section of the template where you can place the Google Analytics code. Then just approve and use that template to create the rest of your landing page. Hope that helps!
