GDPR: Are you serving as the DPO and/or DC?

Who is serving as the Data Protection Officer, and Data Controller, for your organization? Will these positions commonly be held by Marketing pros?

I work for a small software company, where we have to wear many hats. But this one gives me pause... Are others taking up this title?

What I observe in Europe is that no Marketer has been appointed as a DPO. Most of the time, one of the company's lawyer is appointed...

Definitely not! I need to double-check, but it's either our lawyer or our head of InfoSec.
