I saw two articles on Business Insider today that are extremely interesting. After reading these I asked myself - "If this were to happen, how would it impact the effectiveness of Marketo as a solution for marketing professionals?"

Any thoughts on these and how they will affect the benefits of a solution like Marketo?

It's worth keeping in mind that these articles all refer to 3rd party ad tracking cookies. Marketo, unlike some others in our space, doesn't use them.

Marketo uses only first party cookies, the same technology used by web applications to keep people logged in and remeber preferences. In none of these conversations has it been discussed to remove that kind of cookie.

I see this as another data point around why the 1st party cookie design we went with was the right call.
