Folder and Report Organization in Advanced BI Analytics

Has anyone found a way to move reports in the Advanced BI Analytics from one folder to another? We have a lot of really old reports that were imported over, and I'd like to get them cleaned up and organized the be more aligned with our new team structures without having to recreate them all. Even if you try to copy an existing report, it will only allow you to save to the folder it currently lives in.

Hi @lisafa2 ,

Can you elaborate your requirement, as currently you can not create new folders in Advance BI.

By default all your reports are created in My Reports folder & pre build reports in Standard Report folder.

I am able to create new reports in new folders without issue. However, I want to be able to move existing reports to different folders based on our current reporting structure without having to completely recreate the report.

Hi @lisafa2,

 

Currently, there isn’t a way to move existing reports into another folder in Advanced BI Analytics. Reports are locked to the folder they were originally created in.

For future organization, though, you can set up new folders and build reports directly into them:

  • Click on “Create Report” in the top-right corner.

  • On the pop-up screen, look for the Edit icon next to Folder Name.

  • From there, you’ll see the option to create a new folder and save your report inside it.

 

This way, while older reports can’t be relocated, you can start building new reports in the right folder structure going forward.
