First Name v Full Name

It looks like Marketo has recently started combining First + Last Name into one field colum, Full Name. The trouble is, when the data gets synced to our SFDC instance, it appears to be importing the Full Name into SFDC's First Name field, making last names Not Available.

None of our forms ask for Full Name, and when I tried to create a form with the Full Name field, there is none.

Am I crazy?

Sounds like a field mapping issue. Go into Admin > Field Management. The fields called "First" and "Last" should likely be syncing to your SFDC First Name and Last Name fields. The field called "Full Name" in marketo is just concatenating these two fields into a single referenceable field, however it does appear as though that field can be mapped just like any other.

If you make sure the "FullName" field isn't mapped, but the "First" and "Last" are mapped, you should be fine.

Justin, it don't think it is possible that Last Name is not available in SFDC since it's a required field in SFDC. Please note that SFDC displays the name as if it were the full name, however, if you double-click to edit, you see it is actually storing it as first name and last name.

Full Name is a system field that is read-only and cannot be mapped.

Thank you! Turns out it was our sales team going in and adding people through SFDC incorrectly.
