Field Mapping SFDC

I am having trouble understanding how to see where a field in marketo is mapped to in SalesForce, are we able to see the field name? or just the API name?  Does anyone have an easy way to explain?  I know where mapping is located in teh admin section but I am having trouble reading it.  thanks!

Hey Erin,

You can only see the API name because that is the part that syncs. The name is more for appearance. That being said, there should be the API name followed by the location in SFDC. For example, I have First Name show up like this:

CRM Field Map:
   FirstName (SFDC Lead)
   FirstName (SFDC Contact)

Meaning that the field in Mkto will sync with the First Name field on the Lead layout as well as the Contact layout.
