Facebook share help needed

Hello - I'm trying to set up a Facebook Share button from my landing page. It is set up, but I am having an issue I hope someone can help with. 

Image on the left shows up when I click on the Facebook button. However, when I click on the down arrow so I can read all the text that is being shared, the text area blanks out (as shown on the right), and I can't see what is being shared. I am concerned that people won't use this feature if they can't read what they are about to post. Has anyone run into this issue, and does anyone have a solution for it? Thanks,

It looks like the text was removed, so that text won't appear at all to anyone.

Perhaps there's a facebook support forum that can explain this part?

That's the interesting thing. If I click off the free text area, my original text comes back and posts on FB. My issue is our customer won't be able to scroll down and see what they are sharing before they share it.
