Experiences with custom survey solutions

I was looking at survey tools before when the need came up but considering they were a bit limited and also pricey with integration to Marketo, I decided to make a custom survey.

For a 0 - 5 rating scale I made 6 images with links to the same landing page with a form and added "?survey=" to each link for changing a data value of a custom field. Then had a form with more questions to those leads who want to answer more questions.

Does anybody have experiences with making some sort of survey solution for leads or using a tool that integrated their survey functionality with Marketo?

Erik,

I looked at the SurveyMonkey integration so reached out to Sales but never heard back. I then found from the Community that the price was too high for the required annual subscription since we were only looking at a one time survey we wanted to build. We then opted to build the survey within Marketo using Forms 2.0.

Thanks for the reply, SurveyMonkey was actually the one I was referring to as well.

Did you end up setting up any first question as a link directly in the email or just link to a survey page with a Marketo form on it?

We sent out the invite to take the survey which linked to a Marketo landing page containing the survey form.
