Experience with SMS as part of acquisition and nurture campaigns?

Hello Everyone,  

Has anyone done any work with SMS campaigns, specifically Incorporating SMS during the Nurturing and Acquisition Process? (More than just leveraging the Webhook functionality)
Any best practices or advice would be very welcome.
