exclude leads from communication limits

I'm looking to mark a group of leads as permanently excluded  from communication limits.

Specifically, I want our own employees to receive every email we send, regardless of current restrictions without having to set up a separate Smart Campagin to distribute those messages.

I can see how I can include or exclude campaigns from limits--but I'm looking for a global parameter at the lead level.

Am I missing something obvious?  Or is this not possible with the current implemetation.

Hey Steve,

You are referring to aborting campaigns if the number of qualified Leads exceeds a certain number, right? If so, what you are looking to do is not supported. That rule simply looks at totals, not who is actually included.

Jeff, thanks for the response-- the issue is slightly different.

I want to disregard campaign-specified limits for any individual leads I designate--namely our own employees  Meanwhile, I want to be able to apply the limit on a campaign-by-campign basis to the rest of the data.

Maybe an example would help: Lets say I've defined my Communications Limit at 2 emails/day.  I know I have to opt each campagin into the Communication Limits in order to be limited.

Email 1 goes out , the campaign was opted in to limits, so it goes out to all intended recipients (including some of our employees) without problem.
Email 2 goes out,  the campaign was opted in to limits, so it goes out to all intended recipients (including some of our employees) without problem.
Email 3 goes out,  the campaign was opted in to limits.  Here it will be supressed for anyone who received Email 1 & 2, becuase the limit is 2.   However, I want our employees to get Email 3 anyway..

I don't know if I can do that or not.

Ah, understood. My gut reaction is that this is not possible, to mark the Leads in a way that certain rules don't apply to them. But I am not too familiar with this capability yet, sorry.

Let me know what you find out!

The only way to exclude leads from Communicaiton limits is to send content to them in a separate campaign that does not opt into the communication limits.

Has a solution to this issue been created yet? I'd like to be able to keep the regular communication limits for a campaign and designate to send to two people (my boss and I) even if we have already hit the communication limits for the day.

Thank you.

This is also a feature that I would appreciate, as currently members of my seed lists are being limited (internal employees) and we cannot create duplicate campaigns for all email newsletters for staff-only.

I would like to see this feature too!  I really like being able to set communication limits in general, but I would also like to get all the emails myself as confirmation that the campaign is running as expected.  Ditto for my boss!
