Exclude duplicate records from a smart list

Hey all!

We have a massive list of SFDC Lead records and Contact records that have not been merged. The result is that we have smart lists to add certain people to an engagement program, but the duplicate record potentially could be added to other email lists.

We won't be merging these contacts for a few months.

Does anyone have a recommendation for how we could parse out one set of the duplicate records, to ensure that they aren't being marketed to?

Thank you!

Hmm, that isn't scalable, since this list will be dynamic. Importing/exporting isn't an option :(

I've created segmentations bringing in SFDC Type (Contact/Lead), and hoping that helps. It still is not fullproof though. Any other ideas?

You might have to export and reimport the leads using the Marketo ID or SFDC IDs to separate out dupes in the smart list.

The Possible Dupe filter only displays leads that match each other's emails or other fields.
