We are thinking of doing a campaign to ensure all of our leads in the EU have opted in. Has anyone does this since the update in data privacy rules? If so, any suggestions around this?

Please remember that Germany is Double Opt In. UK is still opt out AFAIK.

I would speak with your legal counsel because these rules changed a long time ago. It may be against the law now to ask non opted in people to opt in.

Instead, just make everything double opt in going forward and encourage people to do so.

Thanks Josh, do you have any tips on incorporating double opt in on the website when someone fills out a form, whats the best practice? From what I understand you must have proof of double opt in.
