Engagement vs Email

A point of clarity, my company has content that we use,  white papers for example, in gerneral posts on our blog, on our website, other websites and points of distribution for social marketing.

Should I establish these as engagement programs vs email programs?

I know this is a very basic question but I'm still on the learning curve for Marketo language.

TIA!

If you want to ensure that people in the engagement program do not get the content if they had already received it, downloaded it, etc., then using programs is a great way to manage this.  You need to be sure that you capture these leads as members of the program when they perform one of these activities (downloading from website, receiving the newsletter, etc.)  Hope this provides some clarity.

I was hoping to link it into a form that captures the lead, moves them to a landing page with the link to the particular content  and moves them to email response flow. Am I still on track with this being an engagment program with different campaigns per asset?
