Engagement Program: Transitioning Streams, Different Cadences, but same content

I have a series of four emails that I'd like to use an engagement program to use to send an email out once a week. However, I'd like to set up a second stream that I can send out those same emails but twice a week. I'd like to have that if a person has opened up an email, they get put into the two per week. But I think the person will just get put into the stream and will be sent the same emails again. I'd also like to have it reset once the two-week email is sent. For example, Jimmy gets email 1, doesn't open it. He received email 2 a week later.  He opens this one, so he jumps to the biweekly cadence stream. So he gets one later in a few days when that one runs. But then he doesn't open it, so he's reset back into the weekly cadence, so he gets one the next time that one runs.
Technically I don't know if I need an engagement program because this will be one time start, it won't have people slowly dripped into it.
Any thoughts if this is possible?

Thanks!

Yes, you can do this. I've done it several times. It is better with Engagement, but not totally necessary.
  1. Stream 1 - pulls people back from Stream 2 when X happens in Stream 2
  2. Stream 2 - pulls people from Stream 1 if they open email 1.
As long as the emails are in the Engagement and the lead is always in the Engagement, they will NOT receive the same email twice. Just remember to use the *same* email in both Streams...do not clone the email.

You might find that the transition system works better if you set it up as external campaigns (no transition rule) with smart lists.

That makes sense. I think I set it up right, and I'll test it after it goes through.  I'll post what my results are.

This totally worked, thanks!  I wasn't sure as I was getting confused on leads that were in a stream vs being cast.  But so far for the first biweekly cast, it looksl ike it's working. Thanks again!
