Engagement Nurture - does it automatically Exhaust Content?

I feel like a new user again with the engagement programs. Does it automatically put leads into Exhausted Content step once all content in stream is received or do I need to create a smart campaign....if so, how would I trigger it?

I guess another question would be about reporting - if a lead is in ENGAGED status and then exhausts content and gets moved to EXHAUSTED CONTENT status, wouldn't I lose the reporting ability on engagement? Or should EXHAUSTED CONTENT be reserved only for those leads who did not engage at all throughout the stream?

The leads are moved into the "Exhausted" status once they have recieved any availble content within a stream and have not transitioned into a different stream. It is done automatically.  You do not need to create a Smart Campaign to do this.

I'm not 100% certain in regards to your reporting questions, others should chime in...  But I am pretty sure a lead being exhausted does not affect your reporiting on engagement.  As far as I know, exhausted leads are put into a kind of holding pattern until they either move to a new stream or new content is added to the stream that they are in.  It also serves as a reminder notification for you, so you know how many leads are almost at the end of your stream in its current state.

The engagement score is calculated for a piece of content, not on a lead.  Exhausted Content is a true/false flag that we set automatically.  Exhausted Content only means that they have no more content to receive.  You could use a Program Status to capture whether or not a lead is engaged - and you will need smart campaigns to mangage this.

Thanks for the response, guys. Cheryl I rewatched your webinar and this was made apparent. Quick question regarding engagement score on content - this is done automatically also?

The Engagement Score is calculated automatically.

"It is based on a proprietary algorithm which takes into account engaging behavior (Open, Click, Program Success) and disengaged behavior (Unsubscribe).  It is benchmarked against drip and nurture style emails to give an average of 50."
