Enable $TriggerObject for Custom Object Updates

It would be extremely useful to be able to utilize $TriggerObject in Email Script Tokens for the "<Custom Object Name> is Updated" trigger, in addition to the "Added to Opportunity", "Opportunity is Updated", and "Added to <Custom Object Name>"  triggers.

This would provide the following benefits:

  • Increased flexibility in Email sends using VTL tokens
  • Increased efficiency in API use
  • Increased scope of Custom Object use

    I noticed the same issue this week while working on an ON24 integration using a custom object. Currently, only the “Added ON24 Attendee” trigger is available, and there’s no “Updated ON24 Attendee” trigger. This is a much-needed feature, especially when attendee details such as session attendance or minutes viewed are updated later and need to drive follow-up emails or automation based on those changes.
