Emoji in body of email

Is there a way to get an emoji in the body of an email? I found out how to get them in the subject line but haven't had any luck getting them in the body.

I'm talking about emojis with in the email, not the subject line.

Unfortunately, Marketo strips out modern emoji codepoints from the body before sending. And this happens even when emitted from Velocity.

Too bad, because many (though admittedly not all) have broad client support.

    You've probably thought of it already, but a workaround could be to add emoji as an image in the body.
