Embedding Code in E-mail

Hi,

I am very new to Marketo. I am creating a holiday e-mail campaign and am trying to put in a Spotify code for a holiday playlist I made. When I put in the code, the playlist shows up in both the draft and preview mode. I simply have just been clicking the HTML button in the draft edit of a text box and putting it in there. When I send myself a sample e-mail, the playlist does not show up at all.  Is there a way to fix this?

Hi,

Have you approved the email before sending yourself the test? If not marketo will send the previous version with out the link.

Yes. Still won't work. I'm afraid that what Sanford said below is correct. Bummer.

Make sure to send a Test of the Draft or do what Oscar suggests.

By "embed code" do you mean a Spotify player IFRAME? This will never work in a delivered email, period. It will however work in a preview window, since content restrictions enforced by email readers do not apply there.

Such differences are part of using a live web app to compose what are basically "deadened" HTML pages.

That's what I was afraid of, but was hoping I was wrong. Thanks.
