Email templates with tokens

Hi,

Our wonderful designer coded all these responsive email template before I started working here. I'm trying to replace most of the fields such as: from name, from email, reply-to email, link behind header logo with tokens on a program level. I've been doing this manually but am contemplating cloning all of these templates and adding in these specific tokens on the template so I don't have to do this each time but can choose if I want that token template or not. We're going through website changes, logo changes, etc so I feel this is a great way to keep up with that. Thoughts?

Are there any other tokens I'm forgetting about that would be good in this case?

Hey Kim, maybe the footer as well. We mention which list a person is a part of for each mailing in case they wanted to selectively unsubscribe, so this could be a token for each mailing.

Hey Dory - what do you mean by list? Like preference center?

Yea, not sure if it applies to your situation, but we have a special notifications list, retail special notifications list, report notifications list, some emails are sent just as a response to a report request, etc... So every email that we send, we have to make sure that the sentence in our unsubscribe section corresponds to the type of email that we're sending. If this is baked into the template, it eliminates variations in text, but it also makes the templates much less flexible. As a token (or maybe a snippet), they are much more flexible.

Yeah that doesn't really make sense for our emails, but thanks! Interesting use of tokens.
