Email suspended

If the Email Suspended flag = True, will Marketo deploy emails to the lead? I received the following error "551 smtp.XXXXX.com is configured to reject email from your domain. " but have since worked with the recipient company's IT department to correct the issue on their end. Now I would like to redeploy the emails to them, but I'm not sure if they will go through since they are still marked as "Email Suspended." In the lead record, I do not have the option to change Email Suspended back to False.

Someone recently told me that the following scenario happens automatically in Marketo:

 

1. Email is marked as suspended

2. Twenty-four hours later email starts receiving emails again

3. If the next three emails they receive are also rejected, the email is now marked Invalid

 

Any true to step 3?


Turns out to be nonsense. Ignore everyone.

It is a Marketo System field so I don't believe you can change this. Maybe Marketo support can provide some assistance to reset it. However, it is not a permanent suspension. On the UI, once it is set to true, it always shows true. But on the backend, 24 hours later, the email is again available to receive emails.

This is correct. You can ignore a True here for the most part. Marketo handles the 24 hour suspension.

But I would check if that email was marked as Email Invalid=T, if so, you will have to set it to F.
