Email Program Shows 30,000 delivered but only 2,000 members

I sent out a newsletter and am noticing something.

The email program shows that the email went out to 30,000 records.

The email performance report shows that 30,000 records got the email.

However, the email program is only showing 2,000 members.

Is this a glitch?

Hi Zafar,

Can you please share screenshot of your program so that we can see what appears on your Email type program.

My assumption is that you are seeing those 2k records as email data from dashboard of your email program. You can also refer this link from product docs https://docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/View+the+Email+Program+Dashboard.https://docs.marketo.com/display/public/DOCS/View+the+Email+Program+Dashboard

Thanks!

Were the people added to the program as members prior to the email being sent? Are you using program status progressions? What program status do those 2,000 people have? If you only have a program status change based off a certain action (Opens email, for example) then that means that if the people were not added to the program prior to send then the next program status change flow they go through will be what adds them as a member of that program.

The default value for the date range in all reports is "in the past 7 days". Change your date range in you report set up to "all time", or you may have a boat load of duplicates.
