Email not using dynamic content but is sending default only

This is our first time working with Segmentation and Segments.  I have Segmentation set up and my lead does properly enter the correct Segment based on their actions.

My problem occurs on the next step: An email is to be sent to the lead with Dynamic Content that is defined in the email (which is Segmented using that specified Segmentation).  Rather than send the correct content for the only Segment that the lead is a member of, it only sends the default content.

What am I doing wrong?

It sounds like some detail isn't properly configured- the fastest way to solve it might be to contact Support and have them help you troubleshoot directly.

If you've checked and the lead is really in the segment, and you're sending a test to that lead, the next thing to double check is the email itself.
