email not loading

I have created an email template which Previews correctly and whiich reports no errors when Validating HTML.  A test Send Sample of the template works fine. However, when I create a new Email based on this template, I can Preview it but can't Edit it - the Loading icon just runs forever!    Does anyone here have any clues as to what might cause this please ???

The fact the email renders normally, sends sample and does not open in Design Studio is likely to be caused by missing/conflicting/wrong HTML tags in the source.

I would suggest opening, retrieving the source and validating at http://validator.w3.org/
That would give a quick initial diagnostic.
