Editing emails without having to change the whole template

I'm trying to edit the background colour of an email in the rich text editor but not sure how. Is this possible to do? Also, can you edit the email like you can edit landing pages i.e move the content around or change the size of it without actually going and having to change the whole email template?

Hi Poonam, to edit a non editable field in an email/landing page, go to email actions in the editor select HTML tools and then replace HTML.  Here you can directly insert/change whatever you want.  That should work, the only downfall is that you need to be familiar with or be able to write in HTML.  Hope that helps!

Poonam, if your background is not editable, it generally means your editable sections are too narrowly set in the email template. 

I would have a HTML-proficient resource move those divs out for you.
