Question

Dynamic token on a singel landing page?

Is it possible to have dynamic tokens being pulled in on a single landing page based on the previous destination's URL?

For example, we host bi-weekly webinars at our company and we use the same "thank you for registering" landing page after registration. I want to include the "save the date" calendar file token on the thank you landing page. Is it possible to have different tokens being pulled in based on which previous landing page the registrant came from?

I don't think this is possible with Marketo Landing Page tokens directly (although if someone has an idea, I'm hoping they comment), but you might be able to do this with some custom Javascript that either read a URL paramter or the referrer.

In general, I think the easiest thing to do is put that thank you landing page in your program and clone the whole thing every time.

I think the ONLY way you could do this would be to segment your database based on their status, then put the tokens in snippets and have the snippet populate based on their segmentation.

Considering this is just for a webinar, I probably wouldn't do it but it might be helpful in other places!

Just a thought!

Hi Vikki,

I wasn't able to figure this out on the landing page, but instead I have a standard thank you email that includes tokens with the program file in there.

The email sits in design studio, so it's not part of any one program, but includes a my.token that gets pulled from whichever program the lead is a part of. Hope that makes sense!
