Dynamic Chat: Ability to use the flow test with conditional logic

The flow test option in Dynamic Chat is a great tool and our team loves it for testing that the answers go the way we want it to. The only downfall is that if you have the 1st node (possibly others) as a conditional set, for example we have it set to identify customers vs everyone else, you can only ever test the first path. There isn’t currently a way to use the testing option to go down one of the other paths to see how the conversation will work. I’m not sure the best way to implement this, but perhaps in the test flow, the 1st option can be select your branching option? Or something similar?

I would totally agree with this!

What you’re suggesting is essentially:

“Scenario Simulation Mode”

And honestly — that’s how modern CX builders (like Drift and Intercom) handle it.

This is a much needed feature request.

Feature Request: Branch Simulation in Flow Testing

Problem:

Flow Test currently evaluates conditional branches using real lead data, which prevents testers from manually simulating alternate branch paths without modifying lead data or creating duplicate records.

Proposed Solution:

Add a “Simulate Branch” selector at the start of Flow Test that allows testers to manually override conditional logic for testing purposes only.

Value:

  • Faster QA cycles

  • Fewer test records required

  • Reduced risk of production edits during testing

  • Improved adoption of conditional-first architecture
