Why isn´t it possible to drag and drop different kinds of boxes, fields etc. on the layout?
Every month our newsletter is different and it would be easier to the drag and drop fields than code those on a layout!

The design patterns of emails and landing pages is substantially distinct.

Landing Pages can contain elements such as JavaScript and global CSS to landing pages. Most elements "float" in the layout.

Most email clients do not support JavaScript and the one that does (Mozilla Thunderbird) sets to disabled by default.
Emails use in-line styles rather than global CSS. The layout is mostly governed by tables.

The functionalities in Design Studio tend to reflect the fundamental differences between emails and landing pages.

You should use the email editable areas to control the boxes you want.

Some firms also just replace the entire html and have a designer update the email. You could also have the html include my tokens and then edit those for each send. That should help.
