Do you use microsites? Any suggestions or links?

Like many of you, we have a complex corporate website that showcases a variety of products and solutions. We have several divisions sharing a website. The heart of the issue is that its hard to speak directly to our visitors with one clear message. We are considering setting up our website in a "chose your own adventure" manner where a new visitor must make a decision on the home page about what topic matters most to them. Then they would be funnelled into a microsite where all the information presented would be relevant to them.

Do any of you do this? Any advice or words of caution?
Do you have any favorite sites that I could look at?

Before to reinvent all your website, you could think to make inbound Campaings, with lading pages, and contents as ''microsite''.
Could be a simple way to use Marketo to help you to achieve your goal and nurture your customer regarding your their experience.
