Do leads in engagement program automatically recieve new content added to stream?

This is my first time setting up an engagment program and I'm trying to understand what happens when new content is added to the beginning of a stream. Will the leads who are in the middle of the stream receive the new content before continuing down the stream? OR will do they only recieve the new content only once they have exhauasted the rest of the content in the stream?

Ideally we would like our leads to recieve the newest content first before they progress down the stream.

Thanks!!
Alexis

Leads will get the content in the order that it is added to the stream.  If you put your newer content first then yes, your new leads will get that first and then work through the other content in a linear format.

However, this will then affect the older leads in the program as they will have missed the newer content which is now at the beginning of the stream.

So..you can either chose to put the new content at the beginning and have people already in the program miss it, or put it at the end and have the new leads wait to get to it.

I hope this makes sense?

Thanks, Juli!

If a lead exhausts the content in a steam will they receive the newest content added to the beginning of the stream?

Hi Alexis, yes, if someone is exhausted and you add something to the top of the stream, then they will receive that content at your next cast.

One thing to keep in mind, is that if you have any kind of campaign that will pause exhausted program members, or move them to another program or stream, then you will need to do something to those people so they will now receive the new content.

I didn't know that Dory! I thought once they'd worked their way down the priority stream they become exhausted.  Do you have to wait for them to become exhausted first for this to happen?

I was going to suggest putting the newer content in a new stream and have the new leads transition from Stream B to Stream A, and the already exisiting leads to transition from Steam A to Stream B - so that the content is Stream A always stays the same and the oldest bit of content in Stream B is the 'Transition Trigger'

What do you think?
